Who are the Welcome Hogs?

The Welcome Hogs are a group of dedicated faculty, staff and community volunteers who help greet, direct, and support incoming students and their families during Move-In 2025. Your presence helps create a welcoming, inclusive and supportive campus experience for our newest members.

When is Move-in 2025?

Move-In will take place from Wednesday, August 6 through Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Who can volunteer?

All University of Arkansas faculty and staff are encouraged to volunteer. Whether you’re a returning Razorback or new to campus, your participation is welcome and appreciated. We also welcome volunteers from the community outside of the university.

What does a volunteer do?

You’ll offer warm greetings, directions, answering questions, and creating a welcoming environment for students and families. Volunteer roles include:

  • For Students and Community Members – Carrying Items for Students and Families
  • Key Tent Support

  • Parking Caller or Directional Guide

  • Traffic Coordinator

  • Equipment Checkout

  • Elevator Control

  • Floater/Greeter

How long is a volunteer shift?

Each volunteer shift is 4 hours long. You may sign up for more than one shift if your schedule allows.

Are there any perks for volunteering?

Yes! Volunteers who complete a 4-hour shift will receive a meal ticket valid at Fulbright or Pomfret Dining Halls or the 1021 Food Hall as a thank-you for your time and energy.

Can I sign up with colleagues or as a department?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to sign up as an individual or part of a group. Volunteering together is a great team-building experience.

How do I sign up?

Visit GivePulse to register for your shift. You can sign up as an individual or as a group, and you’ll be able to select your preferred role and time.
