What is early student drop-off? 

Students who live within the state of Arkansas and have their fall room assignment will have the opportunity to sign up for a drop-off time on Friday, Aug. 1, to drop off their items early at their respective residence hall room. 

Where do I go to sign-up? 

Students can log into the housing contracting portal beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, and click on “Arrival Time Selection Fall 2025” to select a time. 

Humphreys Hall, Walton Hall, the Duncan Avenue Apartments and Off-Campus Apartments are not available for early drop off.  

Students are required to have already selected an arrival time after Wednesday, Aug. 6 before they can schedule their early drop-off. The final day to select an early drop-off is noon on Thursday, July 25.  

How is the early drop-off different from my arrival time? 

Students who select an early drop-off will arrive at their scheduled time for early drop-off and pick up a key from their zone front desk (see below for hall-specific pick-up locations).

Students will have until 4 p.m. on their designated day to move in their items and return keys to the front desk.  

By 4 p.m., students will return all keys to the front desk where they receive mail. Students on this day may only use the parking lot associated with the buildings until 4 p.m.  

Any student who does not return a key by 4 p.m. will be charged $35 per day until their key is returned.   

For their official fall move-in day (arrival time), students will be limited to two cars and 30 minutes within the parking lot and be able to stay in their room after moving in until 4 p.m.

You’ll find lot locations on the parking Map maintained by University Transit and Parking. 

Is there any cost associated with an early drop-off? 

No, early drop-off is completely free to eligible students. However, students are required to select an arrival time before they can select an early drop-off time.
